From one of Barbaresco's most prestigious single vineyards, Gaja's Asili showcases the elegance and power of Nebbiolo at its finest. The Asili cru is known for producing wines of exceptional finesse and aromatic complexity. Brilliant garnet red. The nose opens with captivating aromas of red rose petals, wild strawberry, cherry and raspberry, layered with notes of liquorice, white pepper, tobacco and subtle vanilla from oak aging. On the palate, the wine displays remarkable elegance with fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. Flavors of red fruit intertwine with earthy undertones, tar and hints of truffle. The finish is long and refined, with persistent floral and spice notes. Pairs beautifully with truffle dishes, roasted game, brasato al Barolo and aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. Will evolve gracefully for 15-25 years.
