Gaja's flagship Barbaresco is a benchmark wine that combines traditional Piedmontese character with modern winemaking precision. Sourced from multiple exceptional vineyard sites, this wine exemplifies the elegance and aromatic intensity of the Barbaresco appellation. Luminous garnet red. The bouquet is quintessentially Nebbiolo: fragrant rose, violet, red cherry and raspberry complemented by notes of liquorice, white pepper, tobacco leaf and subtle sweet oak. On the palate, it offers beautiful harmony between power and finesse. Silky tannins frame concentrated red fruit flavors, with layers of earth, tar, spice and floral notes. Vibrant acidity provides freshness and lift, leading to a long, perfumed finish. Perfect with Piedmontese classics like tajarin with truffle, brasato, or aged mountain cheeses.
